Nain city is located on the southern edge of the central desert of Iran and north of the Cowkhoni swamp. It is bounded from the south to Ardakan city of Yazd, from the east to Tabas city of Khorasan province, from the north to Dasht Kavir and Damghan, from the west to Ardestan Vazwarah and from the southwest to Isfahan city.
Nain carpet, with the quality that is famous in the world markets, is not the type of carpets in which the use of thick Iranian wool is considered an advantage. The wool used in these carpets is fine, and a high percentage is the type of wool called fluff. But what can be said about the wool or fluff used in these carpets is that it is completely new and pure wool and in terms of fineness it is higher than the standard of Iranian wools. Nain carpet is one of the rare and suitable fields for the use of fine non-Iranian wools.
